Senior New Ways:
- We visit seniors where they live – home, assisted living, care
facilities – we give them rides or bring them what they need
- We listen to their stories, marvel at their wisdom, capture their
legacies, find out what they need and bring in care-partners
- We bring them music, fun, movement, uplifting insights, sharing –
in groups, or one-on-one with their caregivers
- We offer this community of care to the world

CARING FOR SENIORS IN THE COMMUNITY
Our parents and their generation have incredible value – they deserve
dignity, respect, honor – and we need to hear their stories and get their
insights.
We understand seniors – they need to be loved, cared for – they have
been great contributors, they have much to share with the rest of us, they
served their country, they are deserving of our love and attention… for us,
being a senior is not a sentence of obscurity and despair and depression…
it is light, uplifting, fun, meaningful…
WE VALUE THE OLDER GENERATION
|
Morgen, 49 “...the folks talked about their visitor Jacky like she was family, and all the help she brought, and the rides to the doctor... amazing...”
|
Kathy, 44 “...my mom loves the music – she sings along, she remembers when the songs were new… I’m amazed at how much she knows...”
|
Candace, 31 “…my grandpa was tapping his foot; I saw him doubled over with laughter… and he told me about being in World War II… he was so brave...”
|
Hal, 50 “...She (my mother) would never miss her Senior Health Chat… she says “I need them – I don’t think I could have gotten through my fall without them..”

Our vision is to build, maintain and nurture many “care communities”,
formed and supported by volunteer in-home visits. Our visitor program will
create groups of those visited in various neighborhoods. They will be
supported by volunteer transportation, basic home services, and referrals
to many professionals in whole health and other services. Persons in their
homes and persons in assisted living are included. The family of Senior
New Ways group classes, their one-on-one DVD program counterparts,
and the ongoing support of groups of neighbors, elders, caregivers etc.
will round out the care community. As we succeed in Northern California,
we will expand by franchising our care community model to other regions,
states and countries through workshops and courses, all supported by
the growing base of Senior New Ways content.
